Matthew Erwin

Founder and Chairman

Matthew has nearly twenty years of bipartisan experience in politics. Currently he serves as a state lobbyist for a major manufacturer.  His past work has included jobs with the newspaper industry, environmental concerns, and a member of Congress. He has received degrees from the College of William and Mary and the Graduate School of Political Management at the George Washington University.

When not obsessing over politics, Matthew likes to read books to himself and to his daughter. When not in DC he can be found at Walt Disney World. He lives in Northern Virginia with his wife Jenny, daughter Effie and five small fish, one of whom is named Swimmy.


Sara Jean Ferrill

Vice Chairperson

Sara is the mother to two amazing daughters, Emma and Ella. She is an International Code Council Certified property maintenance inspector for a municipality in Missouri. As part of her work, she is committed to social equity through housing, ensuring that all renters, regardless of socioeconomic status, are living in conditions that are safe and secure. She sits on the Board of the Missouri Association of Code Specialists as the Secretary and is an active volunteer in her community. Sara is a Missouri Court Appointed Special Advocate, ensuring that children who have been the victims of abuse or neglect have a voice in the Courts. She received her Bachelors from Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri, where she currently makes her home.


Jewelyn Cosgrove


Jewelyn is responsible for federal legislative advocacy for a DC based trade association. She has also worked in media relations and on Capitol Hill. She holds a degree in Political Science from Tulane University in New Orleans and a Masters in Public Policy from George Mason University’s Schlar School of Policy and Government. She’s a political activist, working mother, and advocate for women in the workplace. She lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and toddler daughter.


Jamie Karutz


Jamie has nearly 20 years of experience in Account Management in the insurance industry. Desiring to be more politically involved, she lends her skills in managing meetings as ROFPAC Secretary.  As the mother of two young daughters, education is a priority.

When not taking minutes, Jamie can be found goofing off with her daughters and husband in Southern California. This usually involves a phone, computer, or game console, but may also include copious amounts of glitter or pink flamingos


Jenny Erwin

Director of Operations

Jenny received undergraduate and graduate degrees and dual licensure in Early Childhood Education/Early Childhood Special Education from Radford University. She spent eight years teaching preschool special education in Prince William and Fairfax Counties before leaving the classroom to stay home when her daughter was born. Jenny currently sits as Vice President on the Executive Board of her daughter’s cooperative preschool and works there as a substitute teacher. Jenny loves movie nights in front of the fire and travel with her family, reading all the think pieces, and wine.
