When the election results were reported last November, my first reaction was to cry. The person who was now going to embody the leadership of our country was someone who couldn’t string together a full coherent sentence. I was afraid for what changes could happen, and what they could mean for my family. I have two strong, independent kids, and I didn’t want them to grow up in a country where their rights and needs were not going to be protected.
I knew that I was far from the only person who was upset – and with a group of like-minded internet friends, we mourned, we complained. And then we decided to take action.
